Repeat prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions can now be ordered in the following ways:

  • On the NHS app or by logging into your NHS account at www.nhs.uk
  • Online via our website using Patient Access
  • By emailing sxicb-esx.belmontprescriptions@nhs.net
  • By completing the right-hand section of your previous prescription form and posting in through the surgery letterbox.
  • By coming into the surgery, completing a repeat prescription form and handing it in at reception

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)

EPS allows prescriptions to be sent direct to pharmacies through IT systems used in GP surgeries.

We work closely with our local pharmacies to provide repeat medication as quickly and safely as possible. We will process all repeat medication requests within 72 working hours, but your pharmacy needs time to make up the prescription. Please remember to allow additional time at the weekends and bank holidays.

If you wish to use this service you will need to inform us what your ‘nominated’ pharmacy is.

You can find more information on what the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is by clicking here.

Please note, failing to order your medication in a timely manner does not constitute an emergency on our behalf.

Patient Access

This is the system we use to enable you to order your repeat medication online.

The system also allows proxy access to enable the ordering of another patient’s medication on their behalf. If you are a parent/guardian/carer and this would be useful for you, please ask at Reception and they will give you a copy of the paperwork required.

To sign up for online prescriptions please complete the form below and bring it to the surgery with photo ID. Your password will then be sent to you.

Application for Online Access

Due to NHS regulations, patients can only request Repeat Prescription medication online. Acute medication needs to be requested via your GP. If you cannot see all the previous medication you received on the Patient Access system, please contact the surgery, so your query can be raised with a member of our Pharmacy team.

If you experience problems with this service, please contact the surgery.
