CancerCare provides local cancer support services.

 

Cancer Research UK
Cancer Research UK provides a free information service about cancer and cancer care for people with cancer and their families.

 

Macmillan Cancer Support
Macmillan Cancer Support provides emotional, practical, physical, and financial support for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience.

 

Diabetes UK
Diabetes UK are the UK’s leading diabetes charity and they campaign for and support everyone affected by diabetes, including funding research that will one day lead to a cure.

 

Asthma + Lung UK
Asthma + Lung UK operate a helpline to support people with their condition, including giving advice on medicines, symptoms or travelling with a lung condition, as well as local support groups.

 

Alzheimer’s Society
The Alzheimer’s Society supports people with dementia, or people who know someone who does, through their telephone helpline and local support services.

 

Guide Dogs for the Blind 
Guide Dogs for the Blind’s experts can help people find ways to live actively, independently and well with sight loss.

 

Mental Health Foundation
The Mental Health Foundation use their own mental health research to create programmes for specific communities, aimed at helping to prevent mental health problems developing both for individuals and communities.

Sense deliver services for disabled adults and children all over the UK.

 

Epilepsy Action
Epilepsy Action’s helpline offers free, confidential advice to anyone affected by epilepsy and the organisation also runs Talk and Support groups, both online and in-person, enabling people to meet others affected by epilepsy.

 

British Heart Foundation
British Heart Foundation’s free Heart Helpline is manned by experienced cardiac nurses who are on hand to answer questions or concerns about heart and circulatory diseases. There is also an online chat function on weekdays from 9am to 5pm.

 

Relate
Relate are the largest provider of relationship support in England and Wales, with centres across England and Wales and a network of licensed local counsellors offering counselling in person, over the phone and online. They also provide access to lots of  self-help resources.

 

MS Society
From symptoms and treatments, to accessing care and support, the MS Society’s booklets and factsheets are packed full of information and tips on living well with MS.

 

Sands
Sands supports anyone affected by the death of a baby, providing emotional support and information right from the early hours after a baby’s death, through to the weeks, months and years ahead.
