Stay safe and healthy abroad
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment at Wadhurst Surgery with one of our Practice Nurses to discuss what you will need for your trip. This appointment is for 20 minutes a lead passenger can attend this appointment on behalf of a whole family provided they have all of the information required for each traveller as detailed below.
For a follow up vaccination appointment again, the lead passenger would need 20 minutes however if a family are travelling subsequent members can have 10 minute appointments therefore a family of four would have a 50 minute appointment time. Ahead of your appointment you will receive a Travel Questionnaire, we ask that patients return this to the Surgery for each traveller (this can be done via e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org) at least 5 days ahead of your appointment date to allow our Practice Nurses to be able to prepare for your consultation and ensure all of the advice is available to you. You can also complete the online Travel Health Questionnaire below for each traveller.
We do provide a limited travel vaccine service for vaccines available through the NHS. After your appointment, you will be advised which vaccines you are able to have at the Surgery and which you will need to attend another provider for, you will need to confirm with any third party providers that you have had your travel consultation at your GP Surgery and our Nurses will advise you of any further information that you will need to give them.
Please find below a leaflet detailing which vaccines we offer at the Surgery together with the Travel Questionnaire you will be asked to complete ahead of your consultation.
