The 2025/26 flu vaccination programme is fast approaching. From 1st October 2025, we will be vaccinating the following groups of patients:
• 65 year olds and over
• 18-64 year olds in a clinical risk group
• Long-stay residential care home residents
• Carers in receipt of carer’s allowance or who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
• Close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
• Frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme
In September, we will also be vaccinating pregnant women, children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2025 and children from 6 months to 17 years in a clinical risk group.
Self-book SMS messages will start being sent out this week. Appointments can also be booked by phoning 01892 783888 or visiting either Belmont or Ticehurst Surgery. Phoning in the afternoon is advised.
